FOGHOUSE SPIRITS TAKES ITS INSPIRATION FROM MYSTERIOUS FOGHOUSES FOUND ON LARGE SCOTTISH ESTATES; SANCTUARIES TO ESCAPE THE ORDINARY; TO SAVOUR A VIEW, TO CONTEMPLATE OR TO UNWIND.

Imajica were commissioned to name, brand and package a new range of Scottish premium spirits. We were inspired by a local Foghouse, hidden away in a forest by a Scottish Laird who had carefully crafted an archway to savour his favourite view of the only waterfall on the estate. Elements of this inspiring Foghouse can be seen flowing creatively yet subtly throughout the brand, from the archway used in the ‘h’ of our wordmark to the arched shape used as the custom serif on each letter character. The same can be found crafted into the FH foil embossing and the tapered shape on the watchstrap bottle seal. All elements have a calming brand palette taking inspiration from the natural beauty of the location of our local Foghouse.

Our team worked with the finest glassmaker in Italy to review and source a distinctive bottle shape that would perfectly house the premium spirits. To innovate and stand out from the crowd we then worked with a glass printing specialist to develop the bottles unique matt olive finish, giving each bottle a standout tactile touch and contrast from ordinary reflective glass. A gloss white ink is applied on top of this to catch the eye and tell the mysterious story of escapism.

The initial Foghouse Gin release has gone on to claim multiple awards including a silver in design at the IWSC World Gin Awards in 2022.
